- Day 56
- Around 5:00 PM. Brian hears car sounds and the occasional cheering coming from the racetrack. He tells Nick hes going to take a walk and leaves.
- He spots Gene Gavin and two of his men outside the racetrack. Gavin asks Brian for $40 before he can enter. Brian is outraged and the guardsmen taunt him. He asks if they keep it and Gavin responds by pointing his pistol to Brian's temple. He then sticks it in Brian's mouth and tells him to leave.
- Brian wanders off, shocked.
