The two leaders, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un first met on June 12, in the Capella Hotel in Singapore. This historic event led to the leaders signing a joint statement, agreeing to security guarantees for North Korea, new peaceful relations, reaffirmation of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, recovery of soldiers remains, and negotiations between high level officials. The US-North Korea relations is threatening and US is trying to get rid of the nuclear program in North Korea.
