1913 Known as a vortex ring or plasma ring, the theory was proposed by Alfred Lauck Parson, instead of a single charge orbiting its an infinite amount orbiting and creating a ring shape due to electromagnetic forces. According to the model, electrons or protons could be viewed as bundles of fibers with one total charge, basically how particles link to make an atom.
