Allows schools to conduct reasonable warrantless searches of students under their authority notwithstanding the probable cause. TLO had her purse searched at school and drugs were found. She was charged with the possession of marijuana. While the 14th amendment prohibits unreasonable search and seizure, public officals may conduct reasonable searches.
