After 56 years of bad relations with Taiwan, China has finally reached an agreement with Taiwan about direct flights. The flights operate from various cities in mainland China to Taiwan in under three hours. The direct flights make it easier for people living in China who have family or business in Taiwan and vice versa as previously the total time it would have taken to travel between these two countries would have been ten hours. This consensus signifies that both Taiwan and China are interested in bettering their relations than they are in their current situation.
