September 3, 1783
Beschreibung:
The Treaty of Paris of 1783 was the treaty which was the result of the American Revolution. The key terms of the treaty include, primarily, Britain formally recognizing the independence of America as a sovereign nation, ceding all territory East of the Mississippi River to America, which doubled the size of the nation. Furthermore, it also secured fishing rights to the Grand Banks, along with various other British-Canadian coastlines, which was useful in creating a successful fishing market. In addition, it opened the Mississippi River for navigation for Americans, resolved any debts the United States owed any British people, and still provided the fair treatments for any Crown loyalists or tories. This treaty formally ended the American Revolution giving the Americans what they wanted.
