The shining waters of the ocean blinded me as I set my eyes on them. My gaze refocused on my fishing line. I hadn’t caught anything in the past hour. The wait was boring me. I knew fishing was supposed to take a long time but not this long!

Then I felt a tug on the line. A rather rough tug. It didn’t feel like a fish, but it was pulling hard. I asked my dad to help me and he was surprised too. Turns out it was garbage! It was a big ball of cans, nets, and line stuck on the bottom of the ocean apartment. We were about to throw it out, but my dad’s friend came over from the other side and told us that there was something else inside.

My dad pulled it out and it was a sea cucumber! I thought it looked very strange. I wanted to eat it, but it smelled like garbage! My dad told me it was probably floating around with the garbage for a while, so we just ended up throwing out the garbage and throwing the sea cucumber back into the ocean.
