- I had adapted to small town life but school was still low on my priority list. It just didn't seem applicable to real life and most of my teachers didn't relate anything to real life so I never made any connections in that way.
- Again, I liked most of my teachers just fine, but never felt comfortable approaching them, even about scholastic things. It may have been more me than them but that's how I felt at the time.
- I finished the year with average grades.
