Debbie Stabenow announced that the Grand River Restoration Project is one of the 11 new locations for the federal program. This will improve the coordination among the federal agencies that came together with Stabenow and improve the funding for the project. The Partnership works to "reconnect urban communities, particularly those that are overburdened or economically distressed with there waterways by improving coordination among federal agencies and collaborating with community-led revitalization efforts to improve our Nation's water systems and promote their economic, environmental and social benefits."
