1917 January …And shortly thereafter (a few months) they all became very ill at the same time. The Norkus’s blamed the sickness on mould but the house has since been cleaned and inspected and has no serious mould issues.

Jan 11th - Feb 18th 1917
They spent over a month in the general hospital.

The sickness involved gastrointestinal issues, being unable to receive proper sustenance and nutrition from food and led to an increase in hunger mixed with intense cramping stomach pains, vomiting and shitting. Only the General Hospital would have records on the details of the sickness.

After a long recovery, The Norkus’s left Boston and moved to Kingsport
