This method consists of debarking and chipping a tree, the wood is ground up and is mixed with water to create the paper, later on, chemicals started to be introduced but around this time, it was very basic and the methods used were different to how they are today. The pulp was reliant on cotton and linen rags to hold it together and that was how they managed to mass produce them.
