Evelynn's discovery has finally caught the attention of Earth, dubbed "The Matons". A tech-based species that was theorized to have been created by a race that lost control over it and was destroyed. The matons seek out bio-life throughout the universe and destroy it. Sydon is forced to head towards the south quadrant of the MIlky Way to investigate.

Their ship is destroyed and and the crew is marooned on a distant moon, hiding from the nano-virus. As they begin to capture Sydons crew, they become cybernetic organisms with the intent to consume every living person on Earth.
