September 30, 1938 the leader of the nazi party, Adolf Hitler, signs the Munich pact along with the prime ministers of France and Britain Neville Chamberlain and Edouard Daladier. The agreement averted the outbreak of war but gave Czechoslovakia away to German conquest. September 1, 1939 Hitler broke the Munich pact and invaded Poland.
