VE Day, Victory in Europe Day celebrated, and is still celebrated as the day that World War II finally came to an end. This came nearly three weeks after the Japanese agreed to the principle of an unconditional surrender, they formally surrendered, following the bomb droppings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
