It is the punishment for the crime of treason.


It all started in 1283 when someone tried to assassinate the king.

The prisoner was first hanged by the neck, and when they are nearly dead, the rope would be cut down and the criminal will be half dead.

The word drawn means been pulled behind a horse to the execution which is called the gallows.

Then the criminal's hands and legs get tied to 4 horses all pulling in different directions, your arms and legs split apart and resulting in instant death.
