Doctors from the AMA ( American Medical Association) who looked into classifying video game addiction as a disorder decided to back out. They believe there is "nothing to suggest that it is a complex psychological disease that can be related to drugs or alcohol. They agree that it may have some of the same effects when it comes to trying to give it up but the big question they ask is it really an addiction? or is it compulsion or just playing inappropriate/bad games. They believe there is not enough to prove and label video games as a serious addiction.
