19 Jul 1967 Jahr - Minneapolis Riots
Beschreibung:
The summer of 1967, or the “long hot summer” was full of racial clashes nationwide. In North Minneapolis, where many marginalized groups such as African Americans lived, a clash began on July 19th after a black woman had been mistreated. Fed up with continued racism, a crowd of African Americans began to move through the city, looting and vandalising stores. The violence lasted three days, showing the effects of continued mistreatment of African Americans.
