On July 20, 1969, NASA's Apollo 11 rocket landed on the moon. The Apollo 11 brought the first humans from outer space. This event marked the U.S. victory for the Space race with the soviets. Also, NASA was being funded almost 5% of the budget of the federal government, which is 4.4% more than what NASA was allocated in 2017.
