On September 26th on of their remaining ships along with 59 other sailors. They also returned with spices and other Spanish treasures. In return the queen gave drake a jewel with her portrait. Drake was also given the title as the first Englishmen to circumnavigate the earth. Queen Elizabeth also awarded drake with knighthood.
