Description: This is a battle that was a battle of great importance. This battle was not only won by the Americans but it also secured an alliance with the French. The Americans had sharpshooters take out the commanding officers and then they would have no body to direct them. The last officer called for a bayonet charge but the Americans still could shoot.
Significance:
1. The battle of Saratoga was important because it was a pre-battle for one of the main things for the Americans for their alliance with France in the war.
2. Another reason it was so important was because they won this which led to Yorktown where they won the Revolutionary war they were able to create an environment where the gospel of Jesus Christ could be restored.
3. This battle was also significant because the British surrenderd in this battle and was the first time for the British to do so.
