1 Jan 1450 Jahr - Gutenberg's Printing Press
Beschreibung:
The invention of Gutenberg's printing press in Mainz had similar effects to the invention of the printing press in China. By dramatically reducing the time and cost of book production, Gutenberg’s press enabled the mass manufacture of texts and made books more accessible to a broader public. This breakthrough not only fueled a growing market for books across Europe but also increased the spread of literacy, education, and intellectual exchange. His 42-line Bible was the first major book printed using movable type in Europe and was designed to resemble traditional manuscript Bibles.
