1 Jan 1200 Jahr v. Chr. - Exodus of the Hebrews
Beschreibung:
The Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt marks the Hebrews' freedom from bondage and slavery by the hand of the Egyptians. According to the book of Exodus in the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the Bible), the Hebrews escaped from Egypt after their God smote the Egyptians with a series of 10 plagues. To celebrate, the Hebrews celebrated the first Passover which is now celebrated in remembrance for God's deliverance. The Hebrews then crossed the Red Sea while it was parted by divine power before spending the following 40 years wandering in the desert. During this time, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai and the 12-tribe political establishment was born.
