-more in line with part motto 'peace, land, bread' for everyone, not private land ownership
-aid stalin aim of rapid industrialisation
-promise secure food supply for factory workers
-export crops overseas for $ for industrialisation
-farming more efficient. farmers can be factory workers instead

measures:
-land owned by state
-crops distributed by state
-quantity of crops, working hours, wages fixed by state
-equiptment provided by state
-farmers punished if produced low quantities / absent frm work

results:
-many pesants/ kulaks killed own animals, burnt grain n produce n hid crops to prevent givt frm taking
-bad harvest contributed to great famine which lead to death of many russians
-manpower for factories found bcs farmers leave countryside to find jobs
