The result of the Battle of Saratoga was an American victory, Burgoyne was trapped by American forces so he had to retreat to Saratoga and he ended up surrendering there on October 17
The Battle of Saratoga was significant because it marked a turning point in the revolution, the tides began to turn in American favor and not only was it an American victory but it gave Americans the foreign assistance they needed (mainly from France) to win the war
As previously mentioned, the battle of Saratoga had an extremely impactful effect on the war, it was a turning point and ultimately resulted in America winning the Revolutionary War, since this battle gave them the foreign support they needed to not just win a single battle but to win the entire war.
