Dylann Roof, a 21-year-old white supremacist killed 9 people in a mass shooting. It took place in the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Roof attended a Bible study meeting during which he opened fire and shot 9 black people. He was sentenced to death after being convicted of 33 federal hate crime and murder charges.
