6 Aug 1965 Jahr - Voting Rights Act of 1965
Beschreibung:
Just a year after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act, which gave everyone the right to vote– regardless of their race.
However, enforcement measures had to be taken in the 70s and 80s and lastly 2007 to ensure that truly everyone could vote without being intimidated or having to be fluent in English.
