28 Jun 1759 Jahr - The Fireboat Strategy

Beschreibung:

The French built 80 chained ships that they planned to set on fire when they would get attached to the British ships, but things started to go South for them. The men in the boats were supposed to set the explosives and jump off the boat and swim back, but the men were way too excited, and they set the explosives way too early. The purpose was to kill British sailors, because in the British culture they have a superstition that sailors can’t swim, so they would either would be set on fire, and die, or drown, and die. The explosives were set too early and the ships exploded way too early, and instead of killing the British, they made them laugh their heads off. The British were thinking themselves, Wow! These are idiots! The French were thinking to themselves about how could this happen to us. We will get be back, and be better than ever!
