Ambrosius Aurelianus is found by Vortigern, whose wise men said to sacrifice a boy without a father on the site of Dinas Ffaraon Dandde. Upon telling Vortigern of the quarreling snakes, he reveals himself to be the son of Constans, to which Vortigern marvels. He entrusts the fort, renamed Dinas Emrys, to the boy and his mother.
