4 sett 1966 anni - Establishment of the Red Guards
Descrizione:
Students and schoolchildren formed theirselves into units where they followed Mao's instructions to attack opponents of the revolution and revisionists.
They had belts to whip 'class enemies', and were throroughly indoctrinated in Mao Zedong Thought. The organisation allowed young people to get revenge and settle arguments on those who had punished them in the past.
The Red Guards were responsible for the most violent phase of the Cultural Revolution, holding 'struggle sessions' where their victims were beaten until they confessed to their sins.
